The Cock-of-the-Rock is located in the subtropical and tropical rainforest. They are in the canopy layer of the rainforest. The Cock-of-the-Rocks predators are eagles, hawks, puma, jaguars and boa constrictors. Males only have colorful wings and females have more natural colored feathers. The males have bright colored feathers to attract the females but they also attract predators. An adaptation that would benefit them is a natural color on their whole body except their wings like brown, gray, and dark gray. Camouflage would keep them safe from predators and they would blend in with the bark on the tree’s. The environment would change by the pollution in the air and all the fires and tree cutting. With all of that I don’t think that there would be tons of color. The males would be different from females by having round shaped heads.
