The Capybara, the largest living rodent, spends a lot time in dense vegetation around water. Capybaras will remain alert for predators while they graze on grass, and they will give a bark if they spot a threat. Capybaras are well-adapted to water. Their webbed feet help them swim through water and walk through mud. Their ears, noses, and eyes are located towards the top of their heads which allows them to see/breathe while swimming. Global temperatures are increasing so some of the rainforest may end up as grassland, Grass is long enough that the Capybaras could walk around it or bed in it without being seen. They already have heads adapted to look up and see over the grass and smell if something was coming. Even though their feet are webbed for water and a water life, I think webs will evolve to claws so they can run better.
