Gilled Sloths

Today, sloths have long arms that help them stay high up in tree tops. In the future, only god knows if there will still be any trees since water levels are rising. So maybe their arms will be used for something else. Like, catching fish in the water. Maybe, they’ll also grow gills that allow them to breathe underwater. Their arms would be useful for catching fish because of how long they are. They could easily scoop the fish up and eat them. The gills would be useful as well because it’s unlikely you’ll just see fish floating on top of the water, so the sloths have to go underwater.
