PRESENT DAY The ocelot is a medium-sized wildcat that lives in the Amazon Rainforest as long as other South American rainforests. They look like jaguars, but are smaller. They live under the canopies that the trees provide and they like in dense vegetation; it provides cover to stalk prey. FUTURE 78 million acres of trees in the rainforest are lost every year, so in a thousand years, we can only imagine how much trees will be left. They might change color to look more like the plants around them when there are not enough trees. They also might start eating plants as well as meat. Their teeth might change to omnivore teeth. It also might be smaller.
