If the Amazon Rainforest continues to be cut down, the emerald tree boas would not need some of its adaptations and it could make things better or worse. If the forest becomes too sparse, the emerald tree boa’s camouflage would change. The snake would lose certain aspects of its camouflage. The open canopy would provide more light that usual, even at night. In order to escape predators it would probably change to a lighter shade of green and would lose some of the blue and yellow scales scattered around its body. Though it would take time and lots of the snakes might be killed by predators in that time, the emerald tree boa would adapt and adjust to its surroundings. The emerald green boa has some of the greatest adaptations of any snake in the world.
