Over 200,000 acres of trees are burned from rainforests every day. Therefore, the habitat the animals once lived in is rapidly changing. As the number of trees decreases the animals must adapt to their environment. The first picture shows what the Okapi, also known as zebra giraffe, might have lived in long ago. As the pictures go on it shows what adaptations have or will be made so that these animals can survive. An adaptation will be that their hooves get stronger so they can walk father because they have stronger feet. Image one- This is a biome on what the environment is going to look like in the future because of deforestation. Image two- This is a picture of the depleting resources of the rainforest. The trees that the Okapi need to live are depleting and they are getting skinnier and being deprived of food.
