Future creatures challenge

The animal I chose for the future challenge essay was the Mountain Gorilla. The Mountain Gorilla lives in the lowlands of tropical rainforests normally in Central Africa so if the the lowlands of a tropical rainforest changes into a savanna the gorillas will need to adapt and learn to survive with higher temperatures, less rain, and less plant life than before. To survive in warmer weather the mountain gorilla will probably have less hair/fur to not overheat and die, it will also have to learn to survive with less water and plants to eat because of the warmer weather. Mountain gorillas will probably have to also learn how to defend themselves against other animals because animals will be different and “new”. That concludes my short essay on how the mountain gorillas might adapt if their habitat changed to a savanna.
