Capybara Adaptation Prodject

The animal I picked for this project was the Capybara. If the rainforest were to dry out due to the lack of water, then the Capybara would become omnivorous. This is because of the lack of water to sustain the plants and the higher chance of fire would kill all of the vegetation, so it would become similar to deserts. To adapt to this, the Capybara would have to get sharper teeth to hunt and eat other animals. they would also have to get longer and stronger feet to chase prey and climb trees to eat eggs on trees. In addition, the Capybara would have to get longer claws to dig up insects or roots to eat. Finally, this creature must also get thicker fur to cover themselves from the fiery sun. The Capybara will adapt exceptionally to this new environment, but this change will surely remove its cuteness factor.
