The past creature is a spectacled owl. This is the only type of owl that is known to live in the rainforest. They are usually between 42 and 52 centimeters long and have a wingspan of up to 350 millimeters. They eat small mammals. They are found in the Amazon Basin. The new creature will still be called the spectacled owl. The new predicted habitat will still be in the Amazon Basin but instead of in the tree they will live underground. This is due to deforestation in that area. The color of their feathers and size will change too. This is because of global warming. The lighter color feathers and smaller size will make it easier to live in a hotter climate. The size will also help it endure droughts.
