All about sloths adaptations

The sloth lives in the cloud and lowland tropical forest in the Amazon where it is humid and hot. Sloths have tendons on their hands and feet that lock into place, allowing them to hang upside down for long periods of time without wasting energy. Sloths are so slow moving that green algae grows on their shaggy fur, which helps camouflage them into trees. The trees in the rain forest are getting cut down, without the trees the sloths would have nowhere to live. In the future there would be no trees so they would have to adapt. They would have to find somewhere to live near a lot of plants but not too close to its predators. They would also have to learn how to be faster so it can get away from its predators. It might take them a long time to adapt because their environment has changed.
