Ringed-Tailed Lemurs have one claw on each of their back feet, and all their other digits are nails. Their hands allow these animals to grab branches for climbing and feeding. Young lemurs use this grip to hold onto their mother's fur. Another useful lemur adaptation is their strong back legs that allow them to jump between trees. They need a long strong tail so they can hang from tall trees. They keep their tail in the air to communicate with other lemurs. When people cut down the trees in rain forest and there's forest fires, Ring-tailed lemurs will need strength of their legs because they will walk or run. They need good legs for running away from their predators. They need a good nose and claws to find food and eat.
