Today I am going to talk about spider monkeys. To start off we will talk about the adaptations they now have. The first adaptation is their hands that look just like hooks. This adaptation allows them to swing on tree branches. The next adaptation is their grabby tail. These two adaptations make the spider monkey ideal for tree life. One thing that helps it survive in the rainforest is strong and long limbs. They live in the upper layer of the rainforest. In the upper layer of the rainforest there are trees up to 200 feet tall. The upper layer of the rainforest is the warmer part of the rainforest. Their predators are pumas, jaguars, large snakes, and eagles. If the rainforest is gone in thousands of years that will not be good at all for the spider monkeys cause they will not have any tree branches to swing on.
