Axolotls are dark-colored and light-colored, meaning they can shift their hue to shades lighter or darker to camouflage themself. They have lungs on their body as well as gills on each side of their head so that they can breathe. Axolotl also has Neoteny, a process where it can grow parts of its body back in just a few weeks, meaning it can regenerate its lungs, brain, and even its heart. The Axolotl´s natural habitat got drained, so its water might fill again and they could go back to their homes. The Axolotl's color may change due to environmental change, and they may need to learn the terrain of the new environment and start a new diet of what to eat. Axolotls could easily find a new shelter, surrounded by rocks, or in a cave.
