Emperor Tamarins primarily live in the Amazon Basin and the lower montane rain forests. They spend most of their time in trees. They eat fruits, insects, gum, nectar, and leaves. They have relatively long gray and black fur, a long tail, and long sharp nails. In the future, I believe they'll be living underground due to deforestation, making them easier prey for wild cats and snakes. Their fur will be much shorter and the color will change to a dark brown so they blend in with their surroundings. They will lose their long sharp nails because they won't be able to live in the trees anymore. Their tails will become a lot shorter because they will no longer be needed. I believe their diet will change as well. The only thing they will have access to will be insects and leaves making them much smaller than they are now.
