The Future Tiger: The Trixy

The Bengal Tiger lives in the rainforest but it will have to adapt for the hot future with rising seawater and less trees. The new tiger will be called a Trixy because it’s going to be tricky for any prey to hide from it! For the Trixy to get fresh water, it drinks saltwater and flushes the salt out of its liver like a Koala with eucalyptus poisons. The Trixy has much bigger lungs to hold its breath for long periods of time while it hunts for food in the seawater. The tail is shorter and fatter so that it can swim like a torpedo underwater. The Trixy has strong jumping power to chase food on the ground. The Trixy has olive green fur to blend in with its new habitat of shadows from the few trees and rocks. Also, it has small quills that go up when it’s angry.
