The southern cassowary is 5.8 feet tall and its the 3rd largest bird. It is located in a rainforest in Australia, the Daintree. The cassowary eats fruit and spits out the seeds. Cassowaries live in a nest until they are 3 years old. I think the cassowary will have to adapt to staying with its dad until they are 5 years old. The cassowary can’t fly so they have to stay on land.A cassowary has casque also called a helmet cassowaries are warm blooded that means they can survive the cold if it gets cold. Cassowaries live up to fifty years old. Cassowaries are blue and black they do have feathers but they can’t fly. That's the thing if they could fly they would look so cool. But I think because people are cutting down trees they will have to adapt to not having a lot of food.
