In the present, the Pygmy Marmoset is a tiny mammal that lives in the rainforest. They have large orange eyes that allows them to see well in both the daytime and nighttime. They also have large claws to slice open small fruit to eat. Their striped tail allows them to hang off tree branches and to stay away from predators. They live high in the treetops. They have short thick fur to keep warm during the rainforest’s wet days and nights. 1000 years later…The Pygmy Marmoset is now a mammal that survives in water. Their sharp claws are replaced by webbed feet to zoom through the water looking for food. Their tail is now flat and wide like a platypus tail. They use it to splash enemies. Their eyes now see perfectly under water. Finally they developed orange spikes on their back to fight off predators.
