Lemurs are nocturnal primates that live in Madagascar and other rainforests. A lemur has a wet snout, long tail, and large eyes. Lemurs will wrap their tail around tree branches as they climb. Both their hands and feet have very strong grip that help them climb. Currently, 95% of Madagascar's lemurs are in danger of becoming extinct.
In a hundred years, the lemur will need to adapt. Their habitat and environment will also change. The future rainforest is becoming much hotter and less biodiverse. With less rainfall, plants cannot grow and food is scarce. A new diet would be a priority for the lemur. With less trees growing, the lemur will have to become an omnivore. Another adaptation would be camouflage to help it hide from larger predators who are also searching for food. Essential colors would probably be tan or brown to blend in with the dry environment.
