Golden Lion Tamarins live in lush branches and are most commonly found in the Atlantic coastal forests of Brazil. Due to deforestation, their homes are being destroyed, so in 1,000 years they will have a thinner coat and will live on the ground like many other monkey species in that area. The thin coat will allow the monkey to cool off better on hot days and will also protect it from the debris caused by the human-made fires of deforestation.
