The howler monkey spends most of their lives in the treetops swinging through trees. One of their adaptations is their tail. It supports their body weight and has a grip pad so they can hang from the trees and eat. Their current diet consists of leaves, fruits, nuts, and flowers. The first thing the howler monkey has to adapt to is they need longer legs to run on the forest floor and find food before their predators attack . Due to deforestation there will be fewer trees, so they need to adapt to being on the ground. They will also need to adapt their diet. The foods they eat won’t be found as often and plants might be further apart. This would make it harder to find flowers and nuts. I also predict there could be more bodies of water so they might have to adapt to swimming.
