The present day pangolin hunts ants and termites with its long tongue and has the coolest defense. When it encounters a predator it rolls into a ball and uses its tail with sharp scales on it to defend itself. Overtime with global warming its current habitat which is a rainforest has gotten hotter and drier and turned into a savanna and it has adapted to this environment by turning into the Rat Nosed Pangoloo. Ants and termites are now extinct so it eats beetles and grasshoppers those bugs live deeper in the ground so the Rat Nosed Pangoloo has developed an extra long snout to dig through soil for hunting. Its tail has become shorter due to genetic effects. It used to have an extra long tongue which has shortened throughout the years because it now uses its snout.
