Anacondas live in the Amazon Rainforest, which is the largest rainforest in the world. Located in Brazil, it has over three million species living in it. Anacondas are the largest snakes in the world. They are water snakes that live in bogs and marshes. They hide in trees to escape predators during the day. At night they hunt small rodents, such as capybaras or rats, from the water. The Amazon Rainforest is changing because of deforestation. In the future there will be a grassland where the rainforest is now. Anacondas will adapt to the changing environment by growing smaller, faster, and lighter in color, making them harder to spot in the tall grass. The grassland will have fewer animals for the anaconda to hunt and less water to hunt from, but their new size will require less food. Overall, their adaptations will help them to survive in the changing environment.
