Panda Evolution

I chose to do a panda, pandas are big and fuzzy. With a pandas adaptation, I am thinking of making the panda slimmer and not as fuzzy. I am thinking of getting rid of his dark spot to keep his internal body temperature very low. I feel like he would do well If he could be underwater to cool off. His food would stay the same because bamboo thrives in the heat. Their diet however would expand and they would eat things like berries and flowers.
