Poison Dart Frog

Poison dart frogs are very unique. Their common name is poison dart frog and scientific name is Dentrobatide. They are amphibians. They are just like some dinosaurs, they are carnivores. When they travel in groups they are called armys. When they live in the wild they can live 3 to 15 years. They are so small that they grow up to only 1 inch. The colors they come in are very beautiful. Their beautiful colors are yellow, gold, copper, red, green, blue, or black. They eat insects for food. They eat small termites, fruit flies, ants, young crickets, and tiny beetles. They live in very tropical places like rainforests of Central and South America. The colorful designs that they have on them usually tells potential predators “I’m toxic. Don’t eat me.” A golden dart frog has enough poison to kill 20,000 mice. It’s environment changes because of climate change.
