Scarlet Macaws are a kind of parrots that live in the tropical forest in Mexico, Central America and South America. These beautiful birds can live up to 50 years in the wild and 75 years in captivity. The things they mostly like to eat are nuts, seeds, fruit and leaves. They use their beak to help crush up their food so they won't choke. Sadly no more than 50,000 macaws are alive today. Most of the macaws have died because of climate change. Due to climate change the weather has been getting too hot for them. Scarlet Macaws are not aggressive they are actually very sweet and gentle. Fun Fact about them they mostly weigh around 2.3 lbs and their wingspan is 100+ cm. The length of one macaw is 32 to 39 inches long.
