Sloth Adaptations

If we do not make changes to prevent climate change, we may lose some of our beautiful habitats such as the rainforest. My favorite animal is a sloth. In order for a sloth to live in a savanna, it would need to have smaller arms and claws to improve its agility and speed to escape predators. The neck would need to be longer to reach food and water. Bigger ears would help improve its ability to hear predators approaching. The sloth's hair would be shorter, dense, and tan to adapt to the climate, protect it from the elements and to provide camouflage. All these changes would help the sloth survive in the savanna. However, I hope we can make changes to prevent the loss of the rainforest so that the cute, slow sloths do not have to adapt to the harsh savanna ecosystem.
