Global warming is going to affect jaguars because their source of food will diminish, thus, their numbers will rapidly decline. Less habitat also means jaguars’ prey is reduced. In order to survive, they would have to evolve and adapt to their environment. If the climate changes the Amazon Rainforest, then the rainforest would become very hot and dry. Their spots would not have any black anymore, so they can camouflage themselves into the sandy environment. I think that they would become smaller because there will be smaller, and fewer plants to hide behind when hunting. Their tail would become shorter because they don’t need it to help them balance on trees anymore, since there would be less trees. I would call this new species the Desert Panthera (origin is Latin).
