The glass frog is from Panama, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Columbia. They are nocturnal and live in trees. The reason it is called a glass frog is because it has a translucent stomach. Scientists don’t really know why they have translucent skin but they think it’s because it helps them camouflage as a bunch of eggs from the pattern on their backs. They also stay on leaves to help them blend in. I think that in the future they would adapt by being completely translucent and begin living in the water therefore they would be camouflaged and almost invisible in the water. This would also mean that they don’t have to be nocturnal anymore.
