The Evolution of the Anaconda

The green anaconda has amazing and unique adaptions that help it survive. A few of the adaptions are it can suffocate its prey and it can camouflage itself. The snake eats large animals and has to digest them for several weeks. It lives near water and it is a fast swimmer. It is one of the largest snakes in the world and it makes it difficult for it to be fast on land. In the future, there will be a drought in the rainforest because of global warming. Because of this, the anaconda will have to adapt to its new drier surroundings. In order to adapt to its drier surroundings, it will have to become smaller and it will get thousands of tiny legs to move faster on land. Since it will be smaller it will have to eat smaller animals such as mice, small birds, and lizards.
