Piranhas are freshwater fish that are native to warm rainforest streams and lakes. Although Piranhas have sharp teeth, and love meat, they are omnivorous, which means they eat both plants and animals. Piranhas are cold blooded animals, so they can’t control their body temperature and depend on their environment to keep them warm or cool. Climate change will cause a lot of problems for Piranhas. Their environment and their food will change so they will have to change too. One adaptation they will make is they will grow lungs so they can breathe out of the water. Piranhas will also have little paws with claws so if they get cold and need to warm up, they can climb to the top of trees where the sun is. They will be much bigger and have sharper teeth so they can attack all the new sea creatures that will flood the raineforest.
