Have you ever heard of a Squirrel that flies? Let me tell you a bit about them. Scientifically known as Pteromyin, flying squirrels don’t really fly, they glide! Flying squirrels glide by launching off high places, and stretching out their arms and legs, which have a fold of skin in between them. Not many people have actually seen these squirrels, because they are nocturnal, meaning they only come out at night. Adaptation is always happening, here are some flying squirrels might have in the future. Due to climate change and rising temperatures, I think that flying squirrels might lose all of their hair and become bald. Without their warm pelt helps their temperature. Another adaptation is giant ears. This will increase their hearing and warn of on-coming predators. The last adaptation I think flying squirrels might come to have is a sideways paddle-like tail to help them steer.
