My pictures illustrate how I think the spider monkey would change if the spider monkey’s rainforest went partially underwater. I believe that if the spider monkey’s rainforest went partially underwater the spider monkey would grow webs on their feet for better swimming, bigger lungs so that they can hold their breath longer, and they would be sort of slimy which allows them to breathe through their skin. The spider monkey’s current habitat is a lush green tropical rainforest, but in the future I believe that due to flooding the spider monkey’s home may become a seasonal marshland which if it were to happen would take a very long time. I am not sure if the spider monkey would survive long enough to grow these changes due to hunters that have been decreasing their numbers. If they do survive, I think future spider monkeys should be called web-footed spider monkeys.
