Three Toed Sloth

The Three-Toed Sloth is a vertebrate. They usually live in the Amazon rainforest. They are normally brown or gray. The food they eat is leaves, shoots and fruit in trees.They adapt to the rain forest by having grooves in their back so they can camouflage when they leave the safety of the trees. The sloth has longer arms than their legs and curved feet for grip. They are pretty good swimmers even though they are slow. They are slow so that they don’t get caught by predators. I think that the rainforests are going to turn into a swamp. So that the sloth adapts to the rainforest it will have webbed feet so they can swim faster. Their fur will be waterproof so their fur doesn’t drag them down. They will be grey so it can blend in with the water better. But they will still be slow on land.
