Toucans are birds that live in the South American rainforest. It's wet and cool there. If there were fires in the rainforest that would hurt lots of animals including the toucan. In a few years after the big fires there would still be some off and on fires. The toucans would learn to eat a lot more bugs and they would become carnivores. They would also lose their colorful beak because finding a mate is out of the question for survival and they won't be eating any more berries or fruit. They would spend a lot of time scavenging for little bugs. They probably would not fly as much since their food is on the ground and there are no tall trees any more. If they didn't adapt they would be starving from lack of plants and their lungs would be full of smoke so they could not fly anymore.
