The Amazon River dolphin, aka the pink river dolphin or boto. Weighs up to 352 pounds and is 9.2 feet long. They live in rivers and lakes with fresh water only because of food. Amazon river dolphins are known to eat more than 40 different species of freshwater fish. With their long snout, it is easy for them to catch fish. Found throughout the Amazon and Orinoco river basins in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, and Venezuela. Now imagine them in a thousand years. No more freshwater. How will they adapt? According to my research, the Amazon River dolphin will have to adapt to the ocean. They will move from rivers to the big open sea and adapt to eating fish like salmon who also travel from rivers to sea. They will no longer be the Amazon river dolphin. They will be called the rosé ocean dolphin.
