The Sumatran tiger, the smallest and rarest species of tigers, is on the brink of extinction. There are less than 400 Sumatran tigers in the wild. I predict in 1000 years, there will be none in the wild, only zoos. Their extinction is caused by deforestation and poaching. As their habitat changes, there will be less oxygen because the rainforest is gone. Tigers will have smaller lungs, need less oxygen, and have a longer tail to balance on the rocky terrain of the cage. It will develop more fat to keep warm in the winter. It will lose muscle because it doesn’t have to hunt, just eat the food the humans give them. Tigers will be kinder to humans because it is used to them walking around, and have less stripes because it has no need to camouflage. Sometimes, it has crazy episodes trying to get out of its cage.
