Climate Change Warning

The sloth is a very unique mammal because they are unable to regulate their own body temperature. Everything that the sloth does all day long depends on what the weather is outside. If the weather is too cold, they can very easily get hypothermia. If the weather is too hot, they can overheat very easily. Today less and less rain is falling over many of the world’s rainforests, and droughts are becoming more common. This means because sloths live in trees, and eat leaves, if it rains less there will be less leaves to eat. This has been making it more difficult for sloths to thrive in the rainforests.
