Bees are one of the many endangered animals on Earth today. This is mainly because of habitat loss and parasites. Even though they’re small creatures their roll is very important. Their bodies carry an electrostatic charge and special hairs that are arranged to form pollen baskets on their hind legs which gives them the ability to carry large amounts of pollen. Their black and yellow stripes blend in with most flowers which protects them from predators. In 100 years, bees have been predicted to be extinct. This is because of climate change which causes habitat loss with the weather conditions and temperature change. Bees help pollinate about 75% of the world’s flowering plants and about 35% of the world’s food crops (fruit and vegetables) which is why the world without bees would die. The human species have been estimated to live up to only 4 years after bees become extinct.
