Future of Sloths: 5,000 Years

My picture illustrates what a three toed sloth may look like 5,000 years from now. Since the rainforest they live in today will probably dry up due to global warming, the features of a sloth will change. In 5,000 years, the rainforests will probably become savannas with few trees and shrubs. The sloth will have to adapt to its new environment. There will be less trees, so the sloths legs will have to become strong fast in order to run from tree to tree and avoid its prey. Also the sloth will grow dog like paws with fingers so it cam run and climb trees to hide and look for food. The color of the sloth will change as well. It will become lighter in color to blend in with the environment and hide from its prey. We must take care of our earth and our animals future.
