The Verreaux's Sifakas are very interesting animals. However, they will need to adapt and evolve in the future in order to live an easier life. They are endemic to Madagascar and spend most of their lives in trees in rainforests/spiny forests. Transportation: Deforestation will get the best of the Sifaka’s habitat, so finding another place to rest and travel would be necessary. Shortening their legs and lessening the lemur’s vertical posture would help them get around on land. Vision: Study shows that 1 in 4 lemurs have colored vision. Having a colored vision is a massive advantage, allowing the lemurs to see food and threats. The more lemurs with colored vision, the more of them will survive and reproduce. The Verreaux’s Sifaka often stands out in their rainforest habitats. They are bright white and have some brown fur. Adding more neutral colors will help them camouflage better and avoid predators.
