For my vertebrate animal I have chosen the Red-eyed tree frog. The frog's habitat is in broad-leaved plants in Central Mexico and Northern South America. Their neon green coloring is used for camouflage and their suction cup toes are used to climb on leaves and branches. However, in 1,000 years due to global warming, I believe these traits will be extremely altered. Global warming will create rainforest droughts which will dry out all of the plants. Without the rain the plants need to survive they will dry out and become brown. The Red-eyed tree frogs will then turn brown because they will need to blend in with their surroundings. Their suction cup toes also need to be more sticky because they will have to stick to a dryer surface.
