I predict the Scarlet Macaw’s colors will fade and become more muted and dusty. It is predicted by 2064 the rainforest will be gone, causing many animals to evacuate, abate or go extinct. I think that most of its inhabitants, including The scarlet macaw, won't be able to keep up with the imposing changes in the ecosystem. The rainforest will most likely turn into a dusty savannah. If the scarlet macaw has a chance of surviving, its feathers will become muted to better camouflage with its surroundings. Currently in the Rainforest's lush and colorful environment, rainbow feathers can prove beneficial by using disruptive coloration to confuse predators. In a dusty savannah, disruptive coloration wouldn't be a survival tactic. The scarlet macaw in large part eats fruit, seeds and nuts. It may be possible to find seeds in a savannah, nuts would be scarce and fruit would be off the table.
