Climate change is a severe problem the earth faces. Some of its effects include the rise of oceans and deforestation. The Red-Eyed Tree Frog lives in rainforest canopies from Mexico to Central America. The adults, like all frogs, need to settle near a water source to keep their skin moist. Their skin is a vibrant green, and their four feet are orange with sticky pads. If oceans keep rising and deforestation continues, Central America might, in 1,000 years, become a swampy environment. The creatures that live there will need to adapt to the new environment. One possible adaptation of the Red-Eyed Tree Frog will result in the frog being a duller green with duller orange feet to blend in better. Their feet might be webbed to help survive in the wet environment. In conclusion, the animals will need to adapt to survive in the changed world.
