The first drawing is a happy sugar glider in its natural habitat. It is healthy and comfortable in its fur. The background shows plant growth nearby. She just had a meal of eucalyptus tree sap. In the second drawing climate change has made some differences on this species. In the future I think that the rainforest that sugar gliders dwell in will become a desert due to drought. Because of the heat the beautiful coat of the sugar glider will be no more. They will be hairless creatures. They will have bigger ears, which help animals cool in hot temperatures. Their diet will mostly be hydrating coyote berries. If this happens it will be hard for our sugar gliders to survive. I hope they learn to dig holes, find oases, and thrive, because this species is smart, adorable and friendly. As humans we need to help our fellow beings.
