My future creature is a Chimpanzee. Chimpanzees can mostly live in tropical moist forests. But due to climate change, their moist forests may be filled with even more water. This may happen because climate change is melting ice, which will make sea levels rise into places on the coasts. Due to their low body fat ratio they end up sinking rather than floating when they try to swim and their top heavy body composition makes it difficult for them to stay above water. Chimpanzees also don’t have control over their strength which causes them to use more of their muscle strength than necessary. This causes them to have more muscle mass. Although, in the future they will have to adapt to rising sea levels by somehow achieving a more proportionate body and a better sense of controlled strength. They need less body mass to be able to swim.
