Future Creatures

Do you know what a kinkajou is? Probably not, well it is a mammal that is related to a raccoon, they live in forests but mainly in rainforests. Their bodies are 17-22 inches and their tails are almost as long. They live in trees using their tails to help them climb. Enough about what kinkajous are like now, what would these animals look like in the future? In my vision their habitat would change into deserts. How would Kinkajous adapt to this change of habitat? Well i believe that their fur would become much lighter to deflect to sun and blend in with the sand, their tail would become much shorter because they do not need it for climbing trees anymore, their ears would become much larger to radiate heat, and they would grow thick fur on their feet to protect them from the hot sand.
