The Orangutan is found in the rain forests of the Southeast Asian islands of Borneo and Sumatra. Every type of orangutan is currently endangered with only less than 100,000 left in the wild. In 10 years I believe that Orangutans will have very few left, but in 100 years they will be extinct. The major factor in this is the destruction and degradation of the tropical rainforest. Climate change will affect the way the Orangutan finds fruits from trees and leaves they eat. The Orangutan has many adaptations, such as their long arms and legs, allowing them to travel easily. They also break branches off trees which allows light to reach the forest floor (helps the forest regenerate naturally). 100 years in the future the Orangutan has gone extinct. This is due to the fact of destruction and degradation of the tropical rainforest. All of the Orangutans slowly died out.
