Deer Adaption

The animal I chose was a deer. I have heard a lot of news about rainforests burning down and I decided to create an adaption for that. The adaptation is for the deer to be covered in a thin layer keratin, which is the same thing our nails and turtle shells are made out of. This layer will protect the deer from the fire to some extent. This animal's name is Firefur. The animal's shell will turn a shade of orange when in contact with heat to blend into its surroundings. Its shell makes it harder for predators to eat and they are often avoided.
