With climate change and rising temperatures, Spider Monkeys are going to have to find ways to adjust. One way that these animals are going to have to adjust is that they will start doing more on-ground rather than on trees. This is because as the climate is changing, the ways that their species are able to survive will be changing as well. Meaning that, there is going to be a change in dieting as well as finding new places that have more shade and water. According to theconversation.com, studies have shown “climate change has already pushed eight per cent of primate species habits past their thresholds. This means some populations may be facing additional stress due to hotter temperatures and changing their behavior to compensate.” This source proves that they are going to have to change their old ways to survive in the rainforest habitat with a changing climate.
