The present illustration shows the gorilla in its current habitat, the tropical rainforests of Africa that are wet, humid, hot and rich in biodiversity. The gorilla is drawn in its current state, with body fat and hair and plenty of fruits/vegetation. It also shows its herbivore teeth. The future illustration shows the effects of climate change on the tropical rainforests and gorilla. It shows the future habitat as a grassland, with very few plants and animals due to the lack of water from the rapid evaporation. The gorilla is drawn with less fur and body fat to keep cool in the grassland heat. The heat will also deplete the food sources and so they will start eating things like leaves from trees and shrubs. This may not be sufficient so they will turn omnivores and develop teeth like humans (as shown in the illustration) and start eating small critters.
